Quicken for personal finances and personal budgeting

As an experienced Quicken user I found that it didn't really make a difference to my finances. Most people find they are not better off after using Quicken. In spite of all that Quicken does it does not solve the fundamental problem that keeps most people from achieving their financial goals, and that is managing their spending. The key is budgeting, but not the traditional approach. Quicken® uses the traditional after-the-fact approach, basically a month-end reconciliation of budget to actual spending, which simply does not work.
