I live in Maryland and I’m interesting in starting Grad School. I don’t want to take out another loan due to the amount I’m all ready paying back from under-grad. Does anyone have any suggestions on how/where I can apply for Grant or other “free money”?

A lot of times the school you attend has information on getting grants or financial aid. I would talk to the school's financial aid office and see what option you can find. Normally there is a person in charge of helping students with financial aid in every school. Give that a try.

Each year Education officials award $4.8 billion in discretionary grants, and the internet is becoming the primary means of receiving applications for these grants. See this recent article on the topic:

In addition to a discussion with your schools financial aid department, you can search through opportunities at the US Government Grant site:

http://www.grants.gov/

I did a search on College grants and received the following list Click Here

Good Luck.

If you are still short on cash, look into applying for scholarships www.fastweb.com has about $13 billion dollars in scholarships loaded into its data base. All you do is fill out your information and it will find scholarships that you are eligible for. Also if you are going to graduate school ask at the school if there are any teacher --- positions. Working as a TA can help pay the bills while you're a student.
